Perth new new
Boss Polymer Technologies recently worked with BGC Australia to construct the Perth Arena; a multi-purpose indoor venue, comprising a flexible concert venue and sporting event stadiums, with a capacity of 15,000 people. The Architects’ Ashton Raggatt McDougall (ARM) and Cameron Chisholm Nicol (CCN) modelled the Arena after Christopher Monckton’s Eternity Puzzle. The building, (which resembles a gigantic highly complex jigsaw puzzle) is comprised of 9,200 triangular panels.

Boss Polymer Technologies won the contract to create a Custom Silicone Star Seal, fitted between the stadiums 14,000 Alucobond Cladding panels. The seal was designed to protect against the external environment, particularly to stop water from seeping into the Arenas frame and causing it to rust.

The Custom Star Seal has a 70 duro°hardness silicone rubber and is backed by a 25 year manufacturer’s product and material warranty.
